An Impressive NE Debut! Another New England has come and gone and this one had the nicest weather
in history! But let's be honest, anyone that was watching the New England
show this year knows that SSLLC has a lot more to talk about than the
weather! During the Friday afternoon session, the Morgan world witnessed
the debut of SSLLC Vantage Point, our dynamic two year-old son of Serenity
Masterpiece and out of SSLLC Colour My World (HVK Man About Town x AFF
Evening Episode). This athletically captivating colt made heads turn as
he marched into the ring with such style, no one could take their eyes off
him. With Luman Wadhams at the lines, this pair was unstoppable claiming
the blue ribbon and exiting the ring leaving the crowd begging for more!
Great job 'Ace' and thanks to Luman for making this a New England we will
never forget! Here’s to the future!
Posted July 31, 2010 Looking Forward to New England! All of us here at SSLLC are very excited for the 2010 New England
Regional! We are thrilled to be debuting one of our very special 2
year-olds, SSLLC Vantage Point (Serenity Masterpiece x SSLLC Colour My
World) to be shown in the 2 Year-Old Park Harness Stake under the
direction of Luman Wadhams. Watch for him on Friday afternoon!
Also be on the look out for our ad featured in the 2010 program that
showcases one of our fabulous weanlings born this year, SSLLC Equity (HVK
Man About Town x Futurity’s Touch Of Harley). This youngster is a
head-turner!
Good Luck to everyone heading to Northampton! Here’s to many blue ribbons
and victory passes!
Posted July 19, 2010 A Fabulous Inaugural Bluegrass Classic! SSLLC had more success in the hunter ring with the gorgeous SSLLC Bourne'
Supremacy at the Bluegrass Morgan Classic held in Lexington, Kentucky.
Taking first place in the Hunter Pleasure Ladies Gelding qualifier, 'Ind'’
and Mary went on to win the Ladies Hunter Pleasure Championship the next
day! That makes two Ladies Championships at two shows in a row! Inquires
are invited on this fantastic five year-old!
Schengrund Stables would also like to congratulate SSLLC Bold Moves, now
owned by Laura Kay, who made his show ring debut at Bluegrass. 'Cooper' is
the future equitation mount for Laura’s daughter Cameron and is being
shown in the English Pleasure division this year by Mary Carlton.
'Cooper' looked great in the 3 year-old English Pleasure qualifier, taking
top honors and ended up making a reserve championship victory pass in the
English Pleasure Junior Horse championship! Congrats to Laura, Cam, and
Mary on a wonderful debut of this grand gelding! We can’t wait to see
Cameron show him next year!
Posted July 12, 2010 A 'Supreme' Mid-A! SSLLC made a grand showing at the 2010 Mid-A Morgan Horse Show held in
Lexington, Virginia. Our elegant 5 year-old gelding, SSLLC Bourne'
Supremacy (Born To Boogie x Brio Bell Martell), made quite an impression
in Hunter Pleasure divisions under the direction of Mary Carlton of
Crystal Farms. "Indy" won his qualifier, took reserve champion honors in
the Open Hunter Pleasure division, and championship honors in the Ladies
Hunter Pleasure division! Clearly a dominant force in the hunter ring for
many years to come, this special guy is ready to go for any amateur or
junior exhibitor!
Thank you to Mary, Chris, Dani, and Jake for all of their hard work in
making this a wonderful horse show for us and for 'Indy'! We look forward
to having lots of fun at this show under the Crystal Farms banner for many
years to come!
Posted June 30, 2010 Belladonna Wins at CT Morgan! SSLLC Belladonna made her debut into the show world at the Connecticut
Morgan Show under the direction of Luman Wadhams Stable. This lovely 3
year-old mare (HVK man About Town x Kim’s Bellegante) strutted her stuff

in her qualifier and taking home championship honors! Thank you to Alyssa
Wick for guiding ‘Bella’ through two great performances!

Posted June 15, 2010 He's Outrajus! Our fifth foal finally made his way into the world on March 24th at
11:15pm. Mama was waxed five days in advance so we were starting to wonder
if the little one was coming to join us or not... I guess he wanted to
make sure everyone was ready to properly greet him!
This handsome brown colt is by the fabulous CCR's Outrajus Corajus and out
of Futurity's Touch Of Harley, her final foal of 2010. This colt is all
legs and neck! Within an hour of birth, this smarty was standing and
nursing like he had been doing it forever. We cannot wait to see what this
one turns into!
Only two more foals to go! The last two are crosses between HVK Man About
Town and Stonecroft Couture who is a full sibling to Stonecroft Byzantine.
We are very excited to meet these two crosses but even more excited for
some much deserved SLEEP!!!
Posted March 25, 2010 This Foaling Was A Breeze! Our fourth arrival of the 2010 season was born March 13th at 5:30am. This
spunky filly is our second Astronomicallee foal born to the SSLLC name and
she is out of our lovely mare Futurity's Touch Of Harley. SSLLC Exhale,
known to us as Breeze, was born on a very stormy, windy night with 40 mph
wind gusts! Mama decided she didn't need any help on this one, delivering
the baby before we could even get to the barn.
This filly is another chestnut with tons of white on her face and legs and
is quite the sweetheart. Breeze will march right up to the front of the
stall to see what's going on. With her markings and bold attitude this one
is sure to get noticed in the show ring!
We have officially crossed the halfway point for the year with just three
foals left! Up next CCR's Outrajus Corajus x Futurity's Touch Of
Harley ... this one should be pretty cool! Posted March 25, 2010 The Masquerade Twins Have Arrived! Our very first Stonecroft Masquerade foals have hit the ground and have
taken over our hearts! The two fillies, both out of our mare Futurity's
Touch Of Harley, are actually twins that were carried by two different
mares via embryo transfer.
The first filly, SSLLC Absolute, arrived February 23rd in the early
morning hours. Abby has a bold white face, a beautiful femininity about
her, and loads of attitude! She likes to show off and will be lots of fun
to snap photos of this summer.
The second filly, SSLLC Top Shelf, arrived one week later on March 2nd at
6:45am. I guess mama wanted to make sure we were around in case she
needed us! This filly, Annie, has very similar markings to her twin, with
a beautiful dish to her face as well as a great shape to her neck. Annie
is a bit more independent than her sister, already feeling as though she
doesn't need to be with mom as she explores the world!
We are very pleased with the results of this cross and will be repeating
it again for a 2011 foal. Stay tuned to the website for pictures of these
lovely fillies coming soon! Posted March 8, 2010 SSLLC Welcomes "Stretch"! Schengrund Stables welcomed the first foal of the season into the world
last night at 8pm! Appropriately nicknamed "Stretch", this handsome colt
(HVK Man About Town x Futurity's Touch Of Harley) is nothing but legs! We
are thrilled with this colt and love the strong resemblance to his sire!
Next up, twins due February 21st! Don't worry, they are being carried in
two different mares! Stay tuned for more to come... Posted January 28, 2010 CHILLY Winter Road Trips! The past two weeks have been very busy, filled with road trip to visit
several of the SSLLC horses in training around the country.
The first stop was to drop off a new "rookie" three year old to Crystal
Farms in Marshall, Michigan. While there Amanda was able to see the talent
of Mary Carlton showcased in several of the super-cool youngsters Mary is
bringing along. She has some really impressive stock in her barn for this
coming show season! As always, she does a fabulous job as with SSLLC
Bourne Supremacy, the gorgeous now five year old she rode to win the
highly competitive UPHA Hunter Pleasure Classic at the 2009 Jubilee
Regional. Hopefully the "rookie's" future is just as bright!
During the following week, Amanda made the trek eight hours north to the
lovely, (but VERY COLD) state of Vermont to visit Luman Wadhams Stable.
There, Amanda witnessed another display of horsemanship at it's finest.
Luman never fails to impress and his barn is FULL of many talented three
year olds! The SSLLC group looked simply AMAZING! Get ready World, here
comes Schengrund Stables!
While in Vermont, Amanda also stopped by Fairview Stables to watch Jaisen
and Meghan vonBallmoos work some horses. They have lots of youngsters in
the barn as well as one of Amanda's favorite horses, Roberto Cavalli (who
Schengrund Stables will be breeding to this year). Roberto looked
incredible under saddle and is the definition of Morgan type! With quite
an impressive bunch, Fairview Stables will be a serious contender in this
year's showring!
Thank you to all of these trainers for doing an awesome job with our
youngsters and for allowing Amanda to ride some of the wonderful horses in
your barns! See you all next month! Posted January 22, 2010 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Schengrund Stables is looking forward to a brilliant, tri-colored filled
2010! We are expecting seven foals again this year with some new, very
exciting crosses in store. Visit our 2010 Foals page to view the foals
that will be arriving this year!
Stay tuned to your favorite Morgan horse website for all the latest! Happy
2010! Posted January 5, 2010 A Successful (and Chilly!) Grand National! Well another Grand National comes to a close, the coldest one perhaps in the history of the show! Temperatures barely cracked 50 degrees in the
morning hours. Very chilly when you're headed 20 hours Southwest ... I
thought it was supposed to be warm! Apparently mother nature didn't get
the same memo I did ...
Chilly weather didn't dampen the competition however! What a wonderful
show it was with some of the best competition and class sizes in memory!
SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy had a nice show ending up in 3rd place out of a
very deep sixteen in the 4 year old Hunter Pleasure World Championship,
even receiving a RWC vote from one judge! Inquiries are invited on this
wonderful prospect. Thanks so much to the Crystal Farms team for their
hospitality and wonderful job turning out the SSLLC horses. You are all
the best!
SSLLC would also like to congratulate Ryan Swope and SSLLC On Demand whom
he purchased this summer. The two have only been paired a few short
months and Ryan and "Lucas" managed to walk away with the Reserve World
Champion Hunter Seat on the Flat Senior Equitation title! Watch out for
this talented team in the future! Congrats guys!
Congratulations to everyone for a fun filled and successful Oklahoma! See
you next year! Posted October 20, 2009 Oklahoma Bound! Two of Schengrund Stables finest are headed for the Grand National and
World Championship Horse Show held in Oklahoma City in October.
SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy (Born to Boogie x Brio Bell Martell) is a
special 4 year old currently in training with Mary Carlton that is headed
to the top of the Hunter Pleasure division. "Indy" has many wins this year
including taking top honors in the UPHA Hunter Pleasure Classic at the
Jubilee Regional. This beautiful black/bay gelding is stretchy with a
great stride and three terrific gaits. His potential is unlimited for an
amateur or junior exhibitor in the future. Check him out in the 4 Year Old
Hunter Pleasure division.
SSLLC Prime Time (Liberation First Star x Brio Bell Martell) is a gorgeous
3 year old Hunter Pleasure prospect that just made his performance debut
at the Jubilee Regional (pictured at left). This gelding is big,
beautiful, & full of type with many similarities to half sibling Graycliff
Miss Liberty. "Rocky" has wonderful gaits, including a to-die-for canter,
and is super easy to ride! In training with Mary Carlton, this guy is
ready to make his mark in the amateur division next year! See him in the
3 Year Old Hunter Pleasure Division.
Good luck to all competitors for a safe and tri-colored Oklahoma! Posted October 4, 2009 Photoshoot Alert!!! We've had another photoshoot here at SSLLC and are thrilled with the
results! Amanda asked her cousin (by marriage), Jordan Krall, a just
graduated photography major, to join her in snapping shots of the newest
members of the SSLLC clan. Jordan had no prior horse experience, and did
an amazing job, capturing some of the best pictures we've ever obtained at
the farm! Thanks to Jordan and everyone at the farm for doing an amazing
job getting all of the horses prepped and ready to shoot!
Check out the website for all the up-to-date pictures. Inquiries are
invited on all of our prospects. While you're on the site be sure to
check out our 2010 Foals section to see what is onboard for 2010! We are
very excited to see what the future holds for our breeding program as some
of our finest are headed to the trainers this fall for evaluation! Posted September 25, 2009 Our Very First Jubilee!SSLLC made quite a debut at our first ever Jubilee Horse Show held in
Springfield, Illinois! Two of our finest were onboard including the
elegant 4 year old, SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy, and the talented 3 year old,
SSLLC Prime Time.
SSLLC Prime Time (Liberation First Star x Brio Bell Martell), made quite
an impression in the 3 Year Old Hunter Pleasure class, in his performance
debut, taking second place to a nice field of three year olds. We are
very excited about this handsome, young prospect! Next stop, OKC!
SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy, always exciting to watch, showed the Midwest that
he is a serious contender in the 4 Year Old Hunter Pleasure division.
"Indy" took second in his qualifier, and ended up with Reserve Champion
honors in the Junior Horse Hunter Pleasure Championship! The most
exciting class for this superstar however, was the UPHA Hunter Pleasure
Classic, where Bourne' Supremacy reigned supreme taking home the top honors
in this very competitive class!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Mary Carlton, Chris Lasky, and the
Crystal Farms girls for all of their expertise in making this a horse show
to remember! We had a blast and hope to be apart of the Jubilee tradition
for years to come! Posted September 10, 2009 Another 'Supreme' Showing For SSLLC!More success in the hunter ring for the gorgeous SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy at the Michigan All Morgan Show held in Detroit, Michigan. Taking 2nd
place in the Open Hunter division under the expert guidance of Mary
Carlton, "Indy" was just getting warmed up. In the 4 Year Old Hunter
Pleasure class, it was Amanda Krall's turn to ride and the pair finished
3rd. The duo redeemed themselves in the Junior Horse Championship, taking
top honors home to Hershey, Pennsylvania! Congratulations to both horse
and rider on their very first tri-color ribbon!
Schengrund Stables would also like to congratulate SSLLC Collective Soul,
owned by Cara Lynne Schengrund, who made his dressage debut at All-Morgan.
Showing in Sporthorse Suitability (Reserve Champion!), Intro Level
Dressage, and 4 Year Old Hunter Pleasure, "Alex" had a wonderful showing
under the guidance of Dani Muench-Chapman, the talented assistant trainer
at Crystal Farms.
Thanks again to the Crystal Farms girls for all of their hard work and
support! Posted July 15, 2009 Bourne' Supremacy Wins at Gold Cup!Amanda Krall, manager of Schengrund Stables, made an exciting entry into
the Morgan show world aboard the elegant SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy (Born To
Boogie x Brio Bell Martell). The duo made their debut together at the
Gold Cup Regional in Springfield, Ohio, taking home top honors in the 4
Year Old Hunter Pleasure class! Thanks to the Crystal Farms team for all
of their help!
A wonderful start to the season for this dynamic duo! Next stop, Michigan
All Morgan! Posted June 19, 2009 It's a Twin! On Sunday, as Amanda was helping Crystal Farms set up at the Gold Cup Show in Ohio, the SSLLC clan added another member to its roster. This one is an actual twin sister (by way of embryo transfer) to the filly born just six days earlier and they look almost identical! We've named her SSLLC Prefect Timing (HA HA!) and she is by HVK Man About Town and out of our own Futurity's Touch Of Harley (pictured at left). This one is also a chestnut with two hind white, a white face, and miles of legs! Amanda can't wait to get home to see this one in person!
Only one left until we call it a season! Posted June 15, 2009 An Early Arrival! "Molly" is the latest addition to SSLLC and boy is she sweet! This
beautiful little filly (HVK Man About Town x Futurity's Touch Of Harley)
was born Monday night, June 8th and was up within the hour on her own and
nursing like a champ! She's got two hind white and a little star, strip,
and snip on her face... Absolutely Adorable!!!
Now we await the arrival of her twin sibling (being carried by another
mare via embryo transfer)... will it be a colt or filly???
Posted June 12, 2009 He's A 'Buzzer Beater'...! During the middle of the NBA playoffs, our newest member of the SSLLC
family made his grand entrance into our world! Nicknamed "Buzz" (after
LaBron's "buzzer beater" in the game the night before) this stretchy colt
is our very first Cartier (Cedar Creek Harlequin x Schiaparelli) foal. Out
of our own SSLLC Call On Me (HVK Man About Town x Cedar Creek With Bells
On), this colt is very leggy with a great shape to his neck.
We cannot wait for our next Cartier foal to arrive in July and predict we
will be breeding to this fantastic sire in the future! Watch for more
updates on our current MVP "Buzz"!
Posted May 25, 2009 Bourne' Supremacy Reigns Supreme! In his show ring debut, SSLLC Bourne' Supremacy made his head-turning performance in the Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse division at the MJMHA Morgan Showtime in Lansing, Michigan. Posted April 27, 2009 Surprise Arrival! Kevin entered the barn for his routine 5:45am barn check this morning and
discovered a present in the form of a large, chestnut filly! What a
surprise! Apparently Mom decided she did not want or need any help in the
delivery and she handled everything perfectly!
This filly (Serenity Masterpiece x Futurity's Touch Of Harley) is quite a
looker and boy is she BIG!!! With miles and miles of legs, she should have
no problem getting noticed in the ring! Marked similarly to her real mom
Harley, we are thrilled with this new member of the SSLLC clan!

I'll leave you with just a taste ... Posted August 7, 2008 Jr. Champion Gelding at The N.E. Regional!Schengrund Stables had two entries in the 69th Annual New England Regional Horse Show. This show is always a favorite not only to attend but also to test your stock's talent against some deep competition from across the country. SSLLC's two year olds rose to the occasion with wonderful performances, surviving the traditional New England wet weather!
First up was the elegant and exotic SSLLC Prime Time. This gelding, by the famous Liberation First Star and out of an HVK Bell Flaire daughter, Brio Bell Martell made heads turn as he entered the 2 and Under Gelding In Hand class. Waving his legs and flagging his tail, Prime Time took home first place out of eight entries! Prime Time then turned around to win the Jr. Champion Gelding honors!
The second of the Schengrund Stable's entries, SSLLC Primary Contender (HVK Man About Town x Futurity's Touch of Harley) made a bold showing in the 2 Yr Old Pleasure Driving class. Against nine horses, this showy gelding took home 4th place! A job well done at his only his second show!

Posted July 31, 2008 SSLLC On Demand Wins Again!Congratulations to Misty Pleiness of Kentwood, MI on her purchase of SSLLC On Demand and their success as a team in the show ring! Misty purchased "Lucas" in April while he was in training at Mary Carlton's Crystal Farms. Mary did a fabulous job getting the duo show ready and they are off to an amazing start together with several wins in the hunter division at both the MJMHA Morgan Showtime and the Gold Cup regional show.
We can't wait to see what the future holds for this promising team as the year goes forward and wish them the best of luck! Posted June 23, 2008 The Last One Has Arrived!!Last night as the Pa Morgan Horse Club meeting was adjourning, the Foal Alert pager started to ring! The last of the 2008 foal was arriving! Amanda hurried Kevin's mother, Cara (who she had carpooled with to the meeting) out the door. Luckily they were just 5 minutes from the farm!
This flashy filly (Serenity Masterpiece x AFF Evening Episode) is a full sister to the now 4 year old, MEM Shock N Awe, who made heads turn at New England as a yearling.
We are thrilled with this foal as well as the rest of our foal crop from this year. We feel as though this has been our best year of breeding results so far and cannot wait until some of these youngsters hit the show ring!

Both geldings have very bright show careers ahead of them! Thank you to Luman Wadhams and his staff for making their first show ring experience a great one!
For more information on these wonderful prospects please contact Luman Wadhams at 802.496.0505 or Amanda Krall at 717.514.4772. Posted June 19, 2008 Another Outrajus Arrival Sneaks In!Amanda was in the Carribean for her wedding when our surrogate mare "Hawaii" decided to foal two weeks early on May 13th. This is our second CCR'S Outrajus Corajus (pictured at left) and SSLLC's Colour My World cross, this one a bay colt as well. Everything went smoothly and again we ended up with a phenomenal foal from this amazing sire.
Nothing but legs and the sweetest disposition of any baby we've seen this one is "a honey". We think he's so cute but we can't even decide what to name him! If anyone has any names suggestions please forward them to amanda@ssllcmorgans.com.
If it would ever stop raining in PA maybe we could get some pictures of these new little ones... Check back soon for updated photos, hopefully this week! You won't want to miss them!
Only 1 more to go, don't hold your breath, she's due in July! Posted May 21, 2008 He's Outrajus!Another fantastic member of the SSLLC clan arrived at 12:50am on April 27th. Marked just like his sire, "Max" is our very first "CCR's Outrajus Corajus" foal. Out of our own "SSLLC Colour My World", this colt is long-legged with a georgous head and neck.
We are thrilled with the results of this cross and anxiously await the arrival of "Max's" full sibling (we're hoping for a filly this time) who is due May 28th.
Only two more to go! What an exciting year it's been! Posted April 28, 2008 Another Healthy Arrival! At 10:20pm on March 10th, our second HVK Bell Flaire foal arrived. Another striking filly, this one a dark bay with two white hind feet, snuck into the world before Amanda arrived at the barn ten minutes later.
"Liza" is our second cross of HVK Bell Flaire and our own SSLLC Colour My World. She is a very feminine filly with miles of legs and a gorgeous head and neck. Look for pictures of this show stopper soon! (Only 3 more foals to go...)
Posted March 13, 2008 Our Second Masterpiece Foal Has Arrived! At 7:30pm on February 14th, Amanda's Foal Alert pager went off. Our third foal was arriving right at the beginning of the Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood concert that was Amanda's valentines present from her fiance'. Luckily, Jen was at the farm and able to assist in the delivery of the second Serenity Masterpiece foal of the season.
"Ace" (Serenity Masterpiece x SSLLC Colour My World) is a long-legged, handsome colt who can really crank his neck and wave his legs. He has tons of attitude and knows that he's something to look at!
We are incredibly pleased with the quality of this year's foals as well as the direction our breeding program is heading! Three down, four more to go! Posted February 14, 2008 Our Very First Bell Flaire Baby is Here!At 12:33am on February 13th, in the middle of the worst ice storm of the year, SSLLC welcomed our very first "HVK Bell Flaire" foal into the world! The striking jet-black filly with a small white star is out of Schengrund Stable's own "SSLLC Colour My World" and we are thrilled with the results.
Shortly after delivery of this filly, a police officer arrived at the barn asking if there was an emergency - he said that we had called 911. Two weeks prior to this we had purchased a new paging system. The key code when a mare foals is 911 (we use the Foal Alert Monitoring System). It seems that there was a programming error with the pagers and when the mare foaled the system actually dialed 911 and they sent an officer to the farm! We felt terrible considering the weather conditions but once he saw the baby the officer had to laugh (thankfully!). Needless to say the problem was corrected immediately.
We are so excited about the potential of this year's foals, we can't wait to meet the rest of the group! Check the website this week for pictures of our new foals!

Posted August 19, 2007 It's a Colt!In the early morning hours of June 8th, the last foal of SSLLC's 2007 season arrived. SSLLC Bold Moves (HVK Man About Town x AFF Beulah) is a full sibling to our 2004 gelding SSLLC On Demand. This long-legged colt is very upheaded and can really wave his legs. "Dylan" is sure to be a star and we can't wait to see how he matures in the coming months! Posted June 9, 2007 Welcome 'Bella'!At 1:11am on May 16th, SSLLC welcomed our fourth foal of the 2007 foaling season. SSLLC Belladonna (meaning beautiful lady), "Bella" (HVK Man About Town x Kim's Bellegante)is everything we hope to acheive when selecting bloodlines. She is the definition of beauty and the very meaning of the phrase "to die for".
Everyone at Schengrund Stables is excited to see what this filly has to offer and proud to call "Bella" our own. Posted May 17, 2007 A Busy Weekend! This past weekend, Schengrund Stables welcomed the first three foals into the 2007 class. First to arrive on Friday evening at 8:51pm was an adorable filly named "Mya" (HVK Man About Town x Town Gossip). This was the first foal Town Gossip actually carried and the birth was by the book. Within the hour "Mya" was up on her own and readily nursing!
Around 4am Saturday morning the next foal arrived. This time it was a stellar colt "Toby" (HVK Man About Town x Kim's Bellegante) who was so large, he almost didn't come out! After the initial delivery this foal too was quickly up and nursing on his own.
The third arrival of the weekend came in the early morning hours on Monday the 12th. This long-legged, elegant filly "Eve" (HVK Man About Town x AFF Evening Episode) is absolutely stunning!

Posted October 17, 2006 Another Great Oklahoma!Schengrund Stables turned in another great Oklahoma with successful performances from both of our entries. In the yearling fillies class, SSLLC Set Me in Motion (HVK Man About Town x UVM Farrah) had a fantastic performance in one of the most competitive in hand mare classes to be seen. "Farrah" then went on to better her placing in her futurity in hand class, placing first on one judge's card! Watch for many more exciting things to come from this beautiful filly!
Schengrund Stable's second entry, Futurity's Touch Of Harley, had a grand showing, pinning second in her English Pleasure Mares class. We would like to congratulate Rick and Lisa Howa of Salt Lake City, Utah on their purchase of this exceptional mare. We look forward to watching "Harley" show under the Howa name next season and wish them all the best of luck!
Thank you also to Luman Wadhams and his staff for all of their time, energy, and talent. We look forward to another winning season next year at Lu U! Posted October 17, 2006 Another Great New England Two of Schengrund Stables stars had an impressive appearance under the direction of Luman Wadhams at the 67th Annual New England Regional Morgan Horse Show.
In the competitive English Pleasure Mares class, Schengrund Stable's Futurity's Touch Of Harley put on a performance that stole the show! Watch for this elegant mare to put on another great performance in Oklahoma City!
Also at New England, SSLLC Set Me In Motion made her entrance into the show world in the Yearling Fillies In Hand class. "Farrah" put in a fine showing taking reserve champion honors. This dynamic filly then went on to win Reserve Champion Junior Mare. What a great showing! This SSLLC star is Oklahoma bound as well!
See you in October! Posted August 1, 2006 Connecticut Morgan Horse Show DebutAt the Connecticut Morgan Horse Show, another of Schengrund Stable's horses, Futuritys Touch Of Harley, made her grand entrance into the show world.
"Harley" (Cedar Creekharlequin x Futurity's Nobelle Prize) created quite a buzz, winning her class of six entries. Look for many more stellar performances to come as well as some exciting offspring from this lovely mare! Posted June 20, 2006 SSLLC Show DebutOne of Schengrund Stable's first foals made his show ring debut at the Vermont Spring Classic show held in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
SSLLC On Demand, a long legged, elegant bay colt put on a lovely performance in the 2 year old Pleasure Driving class, taking home the blue ribbon. We are very excited with this 2 year old's potential and cannot wait to see what the future hold for this fine, young colt. Be sure to keep your eye out for SSLLC On Demand in a winners circle near you! Posted May 28, 2006 Announcing 'Tommy'Having just arrived home on Friday, June 9th after a busy week at the barn, Amanda's pager started to beep. The last of the 2006 foals was arriving! Kevin arrived to the barn within minutes to assist in the delivery.
"Tommy" (HVK Man About Town x Futuritys Touch Of Harley) is a handsome bay colt with tons of personality. His outstanding looks combined with his bold attitude leave no doubt that this colt has an exciting future ahead of him! Posted June 9, 2006 Presenting 'Apollo'At 1:51am on June 7th, our third foal of the 2006 class was born. "Apollo" (HVK Man About Town x Futuritys Touch Of Harley) is a knockout! This awesome chestnut colt has lots of flash, a firery personality, and tons of ability. Look for great things from this colt- he is sure to be a show stopper! Posted June 7, 2006 Yo Adrianne!Schengrund Stables welcomed our second arrival of the 2006 foaling season on May 2nd. At 6:45 pm, Amanda was working on the SSLLC website when the Foal Alert system was triggered. "Martell" (HVK Bell Flaire X Brio Classic Kenzie) was delivering her first foal (she has others on the ground through embryo transfer). Amanda assisted Martell, who did wonderfully. The rest of the SSLLC gang even arrived before the hind legs were completely delivered!
Since our newborn was indeed a filly, we decided to name her "Adrianne", since for the second time this year, foaling had interrupted Kevin's beloved boxing. We already had a "Rocky" — what could be more appropriate than an "Adrianne" to go with him?
"Adrianne" (HVK Man About Town X Brio Bell Martell), has a beautiful dished head and long, strong legs. As of now she is a silver color with grey eyes. With her fiery attitude and bold looks, "Adrianne" is going to be untouchable to her competition! Posted May 6, 2006 It's a Colt!On March 23 at 8:22pm we welcomed our first new arrival of the 2006 foaling season. "Rocky" (Liberation First Star x Brio Bell Martell) recieved his name because he interrupted Kevin's favorite pastime — boxing. His entrance into the world also caught Amanda in the middle of dinner, but it was decided that the name "Rocky" was more appropriate than "Quesadilla"! Built like his sire, this gorgeous bay colt has great length of leg and neck. Rocky’s big step and vibrant attitude is sure to make him a knockout in the showring! Posted March 23, 2006 |
