HVK Man About Town – 4/10/1993 – 9/15/2014

It is with great sadness that Schengrund Stables announces the passing of HVK Man About Town (Noble Flaire x HVK Radiant). ‘Wyatt’ lost his battle to laminitis this fall at the age of 21.

HVK Man About Town was known on the show scene as an extreme product of the Kohler breeding program winning the GN English Pleasure Stallions class in 1999 & 2001. Purchase by Kevin Schengrund in 2002, this dynamic team won many accolades including the GN English Pleasure Amateur Stallions and Geldings class in 2002. After several years of enjoyment ‘Wyatt’ was finally retired in the fall of 2005.

For the past nine years ‘Wyatt’ spent his much-deserved retirement, as any stallion should, breeding mares, going for the occasional trail ride and running in ‘his’ field which overlooked the entire farm.

The sire of 60+ foals, HVK Man About Town’s list of incredible offspring continues to grow each year as they all seem to share his wonderful athleticism, bold looks, and great mind.

While we are devastated at the loss of such an amazing stallion our hearts are filled with joy knowing the incredible legacy that will be passed on through his wonderful offspring.

Until we meet again my friend …
