Congratulations Cam & Cooper!

Schengrund Stables is thrilled to congratulate Cameron Kay and the Kay family on their success at the 2011 Morgan Grand National with SSLLC Bold Moves (HVK Man About Town x AFF Beulah)! In order to fully appreciate this dynamic duo’s accomplishments, we need to “set the stage” on their history together …

In 2010, Mary Carlton and the Kay’s selected ‘Cooper’ for Cameron’s new equitation mount. At this point, ‘Cooper’ was only three years old and had never been shown but had been broke by Luman Wadhams. Mary had shown ‘Cooper’ lightly for the remainder of the year taking Reserve Championship honors at the Jubilee Regional in the English Pleasure Junior Horse division.

This year, after a long winter of hard work and bonding, Cameron and Cooper were ready to take the show ring by storm! Keep in mind that ‘Cooper’ is only four at this point and Cameron is just 13! They’re hard work has paid off by winning the Reserve World Junior Saddle Seat Equitation title! They also won the RGN 12-13 Equitation title and were in the top ten in the Senior UPHA Challenge Cup (where they had a killer pattern!) and top ten in the AMHA Medal Final.

Congratulations again to this wonderful pair and we look forward to watching your successful career together continue to unfold!
